EDITORIAL SHOOT 2

4 Elements

Last week the theme for our editorial shoot were the four elements, FIRE, WATER, AIR, AND EARTH. I decided to go with fire and rather than sticking to the sort of generic red and oranges, decided to interpret it as ashes instead. For the silhouette while I was doing all my research I was immediately inspired by Alexander Wang S/S 13 collection. I got a plain a line dress and on the bottom and on the sleeves stitched and pinned on some paneling using pleather and some burnt papers images. Using the same pleather and paper again I made the belt (on the day of the shoot ) and made the little squares to add a little more dimension to the look. Everyone interpreted each of the elements in very different ways and over all it was an incredible shoot day! Hope you enjoy the pictures of all these beautiful looks! Hope all of you like the look!!

Daphne 13' Collection by Sade English

Her collection has drawn interest from Vogue Italia, to C-heads to Rough magazine. At just 21 the London College of Fashion graduate is definitely making a strong entry into the industry and is bound to make a mark. When we spoke to her after her show on the 20th of February, at 79 Endell Street, Covent Garden, she said that she wants to set herself apart from traditional, stereotypical fashion desgin. But what I caught on to was when she said that she makes clothes that she herself would wear. When you know a designer makes clothes that they themselves wear that surely draws you in more. If your more dark and incredibly edgy this would be the perfection collection for you. I'll just let the clothes speak for themselves!

Haizhen Wang Autumn/ Winter 2013

After having won the Fashion Fringe award last year there was quite a buzz around the designer. After the show we know that he is definitely well deserving of all that and more!
This collection was a mix of both femininity and masculinity and was mostly influences by gothic architecture said the designer himself.  The collection was somewhat futuristic yet current. There was a great emphasis on volume and layering around the neck area with the main pieces being the reworked and updated puffer and biker jackets. As for the accessories those mesh head pieces tied together the futurist feel of the whole collection brilliantly. What did you think of his collection?

Street Style LFW '13

If you crave something unique then street style is the best place to draw incredible inspiration. Rather than following trends these amazing street styles show how they take the trends that inspired them and incorporate in a way that is a reflection of their personality.
These varied styles all suggest one common point. The clothes that people wear don't always entirely change with the trends of each season! So while we are infatuated and inspired by the incredible looks on the runways we should always be sure to allow our clothes to be an extension of ourselves! BUT, there's always room to be bold and experiment with fashion!
